Tidepool Under Fog

This is a combination of HDR and long exposure, which is in my experience, the toughest one to pull off because of the noise which results from the combination of the two. This was shot just as thick, wet fog rolled in. It is a 3 shot blend with the aperture closed down all the way to capture the waters movement. This was a very strange scene, and a rather tough one to photograph, so as a photographer it was challenging, but as an artist it was exactly what I look for... one of those wierd scenes that rarely play out. I was just lucky enough to be there when it did. I took a series of shots with 2 different lenses because I knew there were factors which would come into play that would take away from the shot. I ended up liking the results from my ultrawide, I also had a WA prime that just couldn't stay sharp in the conditions. By the end of this session my gear was dripping wet and needed to dry out a bit when returning home.
